Create a catalogue in Facebook Catalogue Manager #

A Facebook catalogue is a container that holds information about all the items you want to advertise or sell across the Facebook family of apps. You can connect your catalogue to different channels to show people your items, including Instagram Shopping, dynamic ads, collection ads, Page shops and more. The tool to manage your catalogues and inventory is Catalogue Manager.

To create your Facebook catalogue:

  1. Go to Catalogue Manager at Note: You can also reach Catalogue Manager from the Ads Manager top menu under Assets > Catalogues. Or, from Business Manager, go to Data sources > Catalogues in your Business settings.
  2. Select Create catalogue on the top right.
  3. Select your inventory type followed by Next.
  4. If you selected E-commerce (products), select how you want to add items to your catalogue:
    • Select Upload product info to add items yourself.
    • Select Connect e-commerce platform if you host your products on an e-commerce platform. You may not need to create a catalogue here if your platform has an integration with Facebook to import products. Learn more about connecting with e-commerce platforms.
  5. Select the Business Manager account or personal account that your catalogue belongs to. We recommend selecting a business account because this unlocks more channels to use your catalogue, including Instagram Shopping. It also lets you assign other people permissions to work on the catalogue. You must be an admin of the business to select it.
  6. Enter a name for your catalogue.
  7. Select Create.

You’ve created a new catalogue in Catalogue Manager.

Now you can add your inventory. There are several ways to add items to a catalogue. Compare methods to choose the best option for you.
